ANIMANGA

Yuri (百合), from "lily" in Japanese, is a genre that focuses on romantic, emotional, or sexual relationships between female characters. It can be used as an umbrella term for stories that range from friendship with deep emotional bonding to explicit physical romance.

For me, "[...] Yuri is any story with lesbian themes. That is because Yuri can describe any anime or manga series (or other derivative media, i.e., fan fiction, film, etc.) that shows intense emotional connection, romantic love or physical desire between women. Yuri is not a genre confined by the gender or age of the audience, but by the perception of the audience." - Yuricon

On social media there is a tendency to believe that Yuri/GL works are stereotipically set exclusively in high school or that they tell only wholesome love stories. This section's goal is to show how, compared to the past, the Yuri genre is diverse and nuanced, with different settings, genres, characters and kinds of relationships: there could be a story for everyone.

I know the termis "butch", "masc" and "tomboy" all have different meaning, but for the purpose of this list they're all grouped together in the same tag.
